Is this your child?
If you find yourself asking these questions, you are not alone.
-
Is my child a "late bloomer" or "is it a speech delay?"
-
"Why is my child pointing or gesturing instead of using words?"
-
"Why do I have to "translate" everything my child says to other?" "Why can't anybody understand what my child says?"
-
"Why does my child have difficulty following directions at home or school?"
-
"When asked, how was your day? my child says "good" and that's it. " My child has difficulty telling me about their day?"
-
You have been told to "wait and see" but something doesn't feel right.
If these sound like you. We are here to help! We help families to move from "I'm worried" to "I have a plan"

What we Support
Speech Sound Disorders
We help children master the mechanics of speech so they can be heard and understood by everyone.
-
Articulation Support: Focused help for specific, "tricky" sounds your child might be tripping over, such as "R," "L," "S," "K," or "G." We work on the precise placement needed to turn frustration into clear communication.
-
Phonological Patterns: For children who swap sounds (like "tat" for "cat") or leave off the ends of words, we address the underlying patterns to improve overall speech clarity.

Language Disorders
Communication is more than just sounds; it is how your child processes their world and shares their place in it.
-
Understanding & Processing (Receptive Language): We strengthen how your child attends to information, follows directions and makes sense of the information they hear at home and in the classroom.
-
Expression & Storytelling (Expressive Language): We give your child the tools to build phrases, sentences, use correct grammar, and find the words to share their unique ideas and stories.
-
Comprehensive Support (Mixed Receptive- Expressive Language): For children facing challenges in both understanding and speaking, we provide integrated care to bridge the gap.
We look beyond the milestones to understand why communication is difficult

Synapse Model of Care

1
Connect
Before communication can grow, a child must feel safe and regulated.

We support sensory and emotional regulation while building connection through play and shared interaction.

Regulation and connection are the foundation for communication
2
Model
Once a child is regulated, we model language in meaningful, real-life moments.

Through child-led play, we demonstrate how to use words, sentences, and ideas in ways that feel natural

Children learn language through responsive interaction
3
Build
As language develops, we expand skills for everyday communication, social interaction, and early literacy.

We help children move from single words to conversation, storytelling, and confident expression.

We build the skills children need for real-world communication and learning using play based approaches and simple games
